Taxonomy
Mesomegaloprepus liae was named by Nel et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP205576, a wing, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NIGP collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
