Palaeochiropteryx sambuceus
Taxonomy
Palaeochiropteryx sambuceus was named by Czaplewski et al. (2022). Its type specimen is USNM PAL 417350, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Elderberry Canyon Quarry, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - small limestone in the "Sheep Pass" Formation of Nevada.
