Taxonomy
Poinarinius kachinus was named by Wang et al. (2024). Its type specimen is QUST-SHUO-23002, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (QUST collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
