Hilarempis otagoensis

Taxonomy
Hilarempis otagoensis was named by Kaulfuss and Sinclair (2024). Its type specimen is OU47068, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Foulden maar (I43/f8503), which is in an Aquitanian crater lake diatomite in the Foulden Hills Diatomite Formation of New Zealand.
