Taxonomy
Coosella convexa was named by Tasch (1951). Its type specimen is USNM 115619 (cranidium & pygidium) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Warriorsmark, Huntingdon, which is in a Merioneth shallow subtidal limestone in the Warrior Formation of Pennsylvania.
