Taxonomy
Parapoulsenia lata was named by Rasetti (1957). Its type specimen is GSC 13561, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mt. Field Section, bed W7ef, which is in a Solvan carbonate limestone in the Mt. Whyte Formation of Canada.
