Taxonomy
Josina festiva was named by Lochman and Hu (1960). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horizon SM21, Sheep Mtn. Sect., Park Shale Fm., WY - Lochman and Hu 1960, which is in a Menevian shallow subtidal grainstone/shale in the Park Shale Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Knechtelia festiva by Melzak and Westrop (1994).
