Taxonomy
Gracanicanetta happi was named by Bochenski et al. (2025) [zoobank.org/5D64C46B-10EF-4B80-BFCB-746ED09AA113]. Its type specimen is ISEA AF/GRA1, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gračanica coal mine (lower section [unit 1]), which is in a MN 5/MN 6 mire/swamp lignite in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the type species of Gracanicanetta.
