Taxonomy
Prolapsus sibilatoris was named by Wood (1973) [genotype]. Its type locality is Whistler Squat (TMM 41372), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Devil's Graveyard Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Prolapsus.
