Taxonomy
Blattula kmitala was named by Vršanský (2024). Its type specimen is PIN 3605/1, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kysyl-Syr (PIN collection 3605), which is in a Cretaceous fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in the Batylykh Formation of the Russian Federation.
