Ilankirus kessyusensis
Taxonomy
Ilankirus kessyusensis was named by Sarsembaev and Marusin (2022). Its type specimen is CSGM 2028-50 and is a cast. Its type locality is Suordakh layer, Khorbusuonka River, which is in a Stage 2 transition zone/lower shoreface grainstone/sandstone in the Mattaia Formation of the Russian Federation.

The faces are flat and smooth or ornamented with thin transverse adaperturally arched ribs, prominent widely spaced transverse chevron-like ribs (convex toward the aperture), and/or row of hemispherical nodes arranged along the median of the face. Prominent midlines, septa, and/or corner sulci are lacking. The tests are nonmineralized. |
