Asio ecuadoriensis
Taxonomy
Asio ecuadoriensis was named by Lo Coco et al. (2020). Its type specimen is EPNV 6367, a limb element (right tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Chalán, which is in a Pleistocene lacustrine sandstone/tuff in Ecuador.
