Taxonomy
Dunbaria elkunensis was named by Sinitshenkova (2025). Its type specimen is PIN 5909/1, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Golyusherma (PIN collection 5909), which is in a Roadian lagoonal claystone in the Bajtugan Formation of the Russian Federation.
