Taxonomy
Mesypochrysa paucinervis was named by Wang et al. (2025). Its type specimen is CNU-NEU-NN-2024001, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
