Welwitschiostrobus murili
Taxonomy
Welwitschiostrobus murili was named by Dilcher et al. (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, MNHN 40033 (cone). Its type locality is Crato (MNHN collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Welwitschiostrobus.
