Taxonomy
Palaeopsychops goodwini was named by Archibald and Makarkin (2025). Its type specimen is SR 13-002-001, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Republic, locality B4131, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Klondike Mountain Formation of Washington.
