Taxonomy
Doremataspis contracta was named by Bentley et al. (2006). Its type specimen is AR2223 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample RS/f412, Locality 1, between Mt. Jamroga and Helix Pass, which is in a Mindyallan offshore shale/siltstone in the Spurs Formation of Antarctica.
