Taxonomy
Palaeomedeterus manukyani was named by Grichanov (2025) [Holotype male: KAM, no. 4825a, one almost completely preserved male (with segments 2-5 of right hind tarsus missing) enclosed in a polished piece of yellow Baltic amber. Paratype: 1 female: KAM, no. 4825b, one partly damaged female (with fore and mid tarsi missing) in the same piece of Baltic amber.]. Its type specimen is KAM 4825a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Kaliningrad Amber Museum collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
