Taxonomy
Shoshonius cooperi was named by Granger (1910) [Type locality is "FromtheWindRiverbeds(Lambdotheriumzone)ofAlkaliCreek, nearLostCabin,Wyoming. CollectedbyMr.C.ForsterCooper,Amer.Mus.Exped. 1909." - possibly 16207]. Its type specimen is AMNH 14664, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Shoshonius.
