Taxonomy
Carditomantea spinata was named by Quenstedt (1926). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ben Nevis A., which is in a Lochkovian marine shale in the Ben Nevis Formation of Norway. It is the type species of Carditomantea.
