Pintomyia bolontikui

Taxonomy
Pintomyia (Pifanomyia) bolontikui was named by Ibáñez-Bernal et al. (2014). Its type specimen is SMNS Mx 351.3, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Mexican amber (SMNS collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in the Mazantic Shale Formation of Mexico.

It was recombined as Pintomyia bolontikui by Galati et al. (2025).
