Taxonomy
Sanaungulus elfriedeae was named by Fanti and Müller (2025). Its type specimen is SNHMB.G 8277, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (SNHM Braunschweig collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
