Taxonomy
Sergyessa rusti was named by Shcherbakov et al. (2025). Its type specimen is FUM-N 14996, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kærshale pit 2 (ash layers -11 to -13), which is in a Ypresian offshore claystone in the Fur Formation of Denmark. It is the type species of Sergyessa.
