Uintasorex montezumicus
Taxonomy
Uintasorex montezumicus was named by Lillegraven (1976). Its type specimen is UCMP 104179, a tooth (isolated [upper] M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Solstice Slope, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Friars Formation of California.
