Talarurus plicatospineus
Taxonomy
Talarurus plicatospineus was named by Maleev (1952). Its type specimen is PIN 557, a partial skull (partial skull and postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bayn Shire (PIN coll. 557) [MPE], which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian fluvial claystone in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Talarurus. It was considered monophyletic by Vickaryous et al. (2004).
