Cynosphenodon huizachalensis
Taxonomy
Cynosphenodon huizachalensis was named by Reynoso (1996). Its type specimen is IGM 6652, a mandible (Right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huizachal Canyon (general), which is in a Pliensbachian floodplain siltstone in the La Boca Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Cynosphenodon.
