Huangia was named by Yabe (1950) [Sepkoski's age data: C Step-l C Step-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1240]. It is not extant. Its type is Corwenia chuetsingensis.
It was assigned to Waagenophyllinae by Minato and Kato (1965), Hill (1981); and to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002).
