Liardiphyllum was named by Sutherland (1954) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cyathopsidae by Hill (1956); to Uraliniidae by Hill (1981); and to Rugosa by Sepkoski (2002).
