Ochotonoma anatolia
Taxonomy
Ochotonoma anatolia was named by Sen (1998) [Type site is Calta, Turkey. Material stored in the Museum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris.]. Its type specimen is ACA-1001, a mandible (right lower jaw with p3-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Ochotonoma.

S. Sen 1998 | Small sized Ochotonid. Lower p3 with, in addition to three main flexids, additional flexids on its anteroconid. Anteroconid trinangular shaped and widened; it is connected centrally to the trigonid complex by a narrow enamel bridge. The pattern of the anteroconid variable in having deep labial and lingual grooves (without cement) or flexids (with cement). Mesoflexid occasionally present. Lower p4, m1 and m2 similar in size and shape. |
