Pseudhyrax strangulatus
Taxonomy
Eohyrax strangulatus was named by Ameghino (1901). Its type specimen is MACN 10774, partial right mandible bearing p4-m2, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mustersan of Patagonia, which is in a Mustersan terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
It was recombined as Pseudhyrax strangulatus by Simpson (1967).
