Taxonomy
Lyssomanes was named by Hentz (1845). It is extant. It is the type genus of Lyssomaninae.

It was assigned to Salticidae by Dunlop et al. (2013); and to Lyssomaninae by Wunderlich (2004), Maddison (2015), Wheeler et al. (2017), Riquelme et al. (2021).
