Bahinia pondaungensis
Taxonomy
Bahinia pondaungensis was named by Jaeger et al. (1999). Its type specimen is NMMP 15, a partial skull (left and right maxilla and associated jaw fragment), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bahin 4, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar. It is the type species of Bahinia.
