Suniodon catamarcensis
Taxonomy
Suniodon catamarcensis was named by López (1995). Its type specimen is MLP 93-VI-17, partial maxilla bearing P2-M2, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Antofagasta de la Sierra, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial sandstone/conglomerate in the Geste Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Suniodon.
