It was assigned to Pandoracea by Newell (1965) and Vokes (1980); to Anomalodesmata by Bieler and Mikkelsen (2006); to Pholadomyoida by Aberhan (2004) and Scholz et al. (2008); to Myochamoidea by Nevesskaja (2009); to Thracioidea by Coan et al. (2000) and Bouchet et al. (2010); and to Pandoroidea by Carter et al. (2011) and Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
