Taxonomy

Teredinidae was named by Rafinesque (1815) [m. kosnik taxon no: 5044]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Pholadacea by Newell (1965), Vokes (1980), Squires (1984) and Squires (1987); to Myoida by Squires (1988); and to Pholadoidea by Ward (1992), Coan et al. (2000), Nevesskaja (2009), Bouchet et al. (2010) and Carter et al. (2011).

Synonyms
