Micromysticetus tobieni
Taxonomy
Cetotheriopsis tobieni was named by Rothausen (1971). Its type specimen is JGU P1289, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lank Latum, which is in a Chattian marine sandstone in the Meeressande Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Micromysticetus tobieni by Sanders and Barnes (2002), Uhen et al. (2008), Boessenecker and Fordyce (2017) and Tsai and Kohno (2017).
