Dorcatherium naui

Taxonomy

Dorcatherium naui was named by Kaup (1833) [also said to be 1834]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Eppelsheim, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Germany. It is the type species of Dorcatherium.
