Delphinus rikuzenensis
Taxonomy
Delphinus rikuzenensis was named by Hatai et al. (1963). Its type specimen is IGPS 85538, an other (periotic), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sendai, which is in a Pliocene shallow subtidal horizon in the Tatsunokuchi Formation of Japan.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Oishi and Hasegawa (1995).
