Taxonomy
Megaloolithus mamillare was named by Vianey-Liaud et al. (1994). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Le Rousset, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone/sandstone in France.
