Taxonomy
Hyaenodon weilini was named by Wang et al. (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVPP V12186. Its type locality is Zhanjiaping, Gansu Province, which is in the Burdigalian of sandstone the Xianshuihe Formation China.
