Megalosauripus uzbekistanicus
Taxonomy
Megalosauropus uzbekistanicus was named by Gabuniya and Kurbatov (1982). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Tashkent Geological Museum 8/849, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mergandava Creek tracksite, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian terrestrial limestone in the Kurek Formation of Uzbekistan.
It was recombined as Megalosauripus uzbekistanicus by Lockley et al. (2000), Boutakiout et al. (2008), Jiménez Hernández et al. (2012), Fanti et al. (2013), McCrea et al. (2014), Cobos et al. (2014), Castanera et al. (2016), Razzolini et al. (2017), Marty et al. (2018), Rauhut et al. (2018), Xing et al. (2020).
It was recombined as Megalosauripus uzbekistanicus by Lockley et al. (2000), Boutakiout et al. (2008), Jiménez Hernández et al. (2012), Fanti et al. (2013), McCrea et al. (2014), Cobos et al.
