Hoplocetus curvidens

Taxonomy
Hoplocetus curvidens was named by Gervais (1852). Its type specimen is no number, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Montpellier, which is in a Zanclean marine sandstone in the Sables à Gryphaea virleti Formation of France.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hoplocetus crassidens by Trouessart (1898); it was synonymized subjectively with Scaldicetus caretti by Abel (1905).
