Pomatodelphis stenorhynchus

Taxonomy
Delphinus stenorhynchus was named by Holl (1829). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pontigne 2, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial sandstone in France.

It was synonymized subjectively with Delphinus longirostris by Keferstein (1834); it was replaced with Delphinus renovi by Laurillard (1846); it was recombined as Champsodelphis stenorhynchus by Longhi (1898); it was synonymized subjectively with Champsodelphis renovi by Trouessart (1898); it was recombined as Pomatodelphis stenorhynchus by Allen (1921), Barnes (2002), Barnes (2006).
