Europolemur koenigswaldi
Taxonomy
Europolemur koenigswaldi was named by Franzen (1987). Its type specimen is SMF ME 1228 A-E, Forschungsinstitut Senckenberg, F, a partial skeleton (skull and part of postcrania), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Grube Messel SMF 21/1982, which is in a MP 11 lacustrine - large shale in the Messel Formation of Germany.
