Taxonomy
Pacificotaria hadromma was named by Barnes (1992). Its type specimen is LACM 127973, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iron Mountain Bed, which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Astoria Formation of Oregon.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pteronarctos goedertae by Berta (1994).
