Allodesmus packardi
Taxonomy
Allodesmus packardi was named by Barnes (1972). Its type specimen is CAS 4371A, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ladera Bridge, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian lagoonal sandstone/siltstone in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
It was recombined as Brachyallodesmus packardi by Barnes and Hirota (1995) and Barnes (2008).
