Aivukus cedrosensis
Taxonomy
Aivukus cedrosensis was named by Repenning and Tedford (1977) [Instituto de Geologia, Ciudad Universitaria, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico]. Its type specimen is IGCU 901, a partial skull (partial skull and limb elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 11, which is in a Messinian coastal horizon in the Almejas Formation of Mexico.
