Protodobenus japonicus
Taxonomy
Protodobenus japonicus was named by Horikawa (1995) [The type specimen is in the collection of the education board of OOshima-mura, Higashi Kubikigun, Niigata Prefecture]. Its type specimen is see comments, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iriyama, which is in a Zanclean offshore mudstone in the Tamigigawa Formation of Japan.
