Taxonomy
Bucania evoluta was named by Reed (1921). It is not extant. Its type locality is Balclatchie, Ayrshire, Girvan, which is in a Llandeilo carbonate limestone in the Llandeilo Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Loxobucania evoluta by Wagner (2023).
