Taxonomy
Bucania singularis was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897). It is not extant. Its type locality is Nashville (Ulrich & Scofield Locality ), which is in the Shermanian of wackestone the Lexington Limestone Formation Kentucky.
It was recombined as Loxobucania singularis by Knight (1942), Wagner (2023).
